Position Summary:
The Director of Product Management is responsible for driving the road map for the suite of global products for Media Monitors and Mediabase. You are a Product Management leader who deeply understands what it takes to grow an organization in product strategy & development, operations, people, and process. You will mentor product, engineering, and data operations people, as well as oversee a worldwide organization of 30+ people with diverse job functions. You are a great communicator ensuring all stakeholders within and outside the company are aligned in expectations of deliverables and timelines.
Responsibilities:
Identify opportunities for product growth and revenue making cost benefit trade-offs
Own product roadmap prioritizing development initiatives and timelines using Agile principles to achieve business goals that align with sales goals
Lead initiatives reducing technical debt and modernize backend infrastructure
Collaborate with multiple and diverse stakeholders to get buy-ins for product strategy and feature designs
Oversee AI initiatives and identify opportunities that help the company’s bottom line and accuracy
Develop and maintain relationships with software, data, and service vendors
Manage and mentor direct and indirect reports
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Established track record in product management of new and existing SaaS products
Experienced in Agile software development process and an understanding of where to make modifications to suit the needs of the company
Experienced in latest UI/UX concepts, including mobile-first design
People management: track record of successfully leading an organization of 10 or more people and skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the hierarchy across the company and external clients
Experienced in managing data: from sourcing to reporting platforms, including analysis and understanding of large data sets of advertising data and/or music data
A basic understanding of relational and No-SQL databases as well as web technologies
Experience in running data science initiatives with good understanding of machine learning & artificial intelligence, especially in areas of speech to text and image recognition is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in information systems or a technical field or equivalent industry experience
