As an Assistant Operations Manager, you will report to the Operations Manager in supporting our business to ensure that we operate efficiently and that we achieve our service and profit goals. The scope of the job will extend to key areas such as: expense management, inventory management, staffing leadership, building and equipment maintenance, and safety standards
Assists in the initiation, evaluation and implementing new technology, methods policies and procedures
Maintains complete, updated and accurate inventory of materials
Maintains compete updated and accurate records of fleet of vehicles-includes authorizing all necessary repairs and maintenance
Compile and produce reporting, as needed
SAFTEY MANAGEMENT & LEADERSHIP
Assists in providing operational counsel to employees with emphasis on production, costs, safety, environmental issues, technology and production capabilities
Assists in conducting on-site evaluations of safety, quality, efficiency and other criteria essential to effective operations
Assists in maintaining employee relations
Participate in company training, safety meetings and other meetings and events as directed
OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT SUPPORT
Assists in hires, disciplines, discharges, supervises, trains, governs, assigns, schedules employees within the operations department
Works with sales, marketing and finance to set pricing for production services, extensions and other operations oriented aspects of the outdoor buy
Assists in the fulfillment of client contracts and meets customer quality standards
Creates / revises installation/production and priorities as a result of manpower, equipment failure, operating problems, weather conditions, client needs and other factors
OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED;
Must possess valid in-state driver’s license suitable for light commercial vehicles and other equipment with associated with job.
Ability to use and maintain hand tools and small device power tools
Experience working with OSHA standards
Proven safety management track record
Able to work independently, exercising judgment and decision making
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – excel, word, office
Solid written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and prioritization
Ability to lead others in achieving company goals and objectives
Ability to work full time, (may need to work weekends, and holidays as needed)
Ability to multi-task, fast-paced, dynamic environment
Positive attitude focused on customer satisfaction
Ability to manage individual workflow effectively and improve processes when necessary
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to climb a structure up to approximately 175 feet.
5-7 year’s experience in the construction trade or related trades
1-3 years’ experience supervising employees
