Job Summary:

The Senior Information Security Analyst will report to the Manger of Information Security Operations and will be responsible for the security of the iHeartMedia information ecosystem. The Senior Information Security Analyst will be responsible for providing secure solutions in both legacy and distributed environments. Function as a subject matter expert and collaborate with engineers from other IT functions on solution development. Provide protection to iHeartMedia assets by enforcing security policy designed to detect, counter, or prevent security risk and threats.

Position Responsibilities

  • Create Incident Response Playbooks and help in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

  • Responsible for performing internal and external security assessments/testing to validate the effectiveness of current security infrastructure through the use of commonly available security assessment tools and make recommendations to remediate identified risks or vulnerabilities

  • Review and audit of assets such as VPN, Firewall, & IDS/IPS Management & Configuration

  • Assist in the development of appropriate security related policies, procedures, guidelines, standards, benchmarks/metrics and/or processes for network infrastructure, servers, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention (IDS/IPS) appliances and software

  • Responsible for monitoring, management and review of network security components and event management applications, as well as the ability to make prudent recommendations for improving overall network security

  • Assist in various projects to ensure corporate governance of security and compliance with applicable regulations and in the development of various security processes to enhance the overall security infrastructure as well as the overall Information Security Program

  • Participate in developing standards for information technology security practices; discern, document, and setup standard practices for network security audits

  • Identify and evaluate tools and techniques to be used for capture, modeling and analysis of IT infrastructure

  • Identify threats and risks to the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all data residing on information systems platforms

Qualifications

  • Must be an expert in networking and security technologies and be able to communicate with business partners. Identifying security requirements and recommending appropriate solutions to IT and business problems

  • Ability to communicate security objectives orally and in writing to a variety of audiences. Ability to write security requirements and design documents

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community

  • Knowledge of computer security systems, applications, procedures and techniques

  • Ability to analyze complex problems and recommend/negotiate solutions

  • Maintains a broad knowledge of current and emerging cyber security threats

  • Work independently in a self-directed manner and collaboratively as a member of security team

  • Create and implement detailed action plans for security solutions

  • Understanding and experience with firewalls, TCP/IP, VPN technology, switches, routers, antivirus systems, and intrusion detection system

  • Unix/Windows operating systems and WS-Security (web services security)

Knowledge of the following:

  • Malware Detection, HIDS/NIDS, Network Monitoring Tools, Case Management Systems, Web Security Gateways, Email Security, Data Loss Prevention, Anti-Virus, Network Access Control, Encryption, and Vulnerability Identification

Education and experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field preferred; or 5+ years of experience in lieu of degree

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in an Information Security Analyst role responsible for consulting, design, engineering, configuration and implementation of security solutions. Security solutions include, but are not limited to; network firewalls, VPN concentrators, network intrusion prevention, host based security and incident response

  • Minimum 3 years experience implementing security assessments and compliance checking processes

  • GSEC, GCIA, GCIH, GCFE, Security +, Network +, RHCA, RHCE, MSA, or MCP preferred
