KATZ Media Group
Provides administrative support in one or more specialty areas within the Finance and Accounting function including: Cost Accounting, Business Support, Financial Planning and Reporting, Tax, Audit, Accounting Services and Centralized Transactions.
Perform day to day Accounts Receivable data entry for various client accounts in Peoplesoft system
Deposit incoming payments – Checks, ACH, Credit Cards, etc.
Reconcile the Account Receivables to ensure that all payments, unidentified payments and chargebacks are accounted for and properly posted – initiate refunds when necessary
Print, mail and email statements each month
Submit and enter client adjustments and write offs
Prepare and review client/customer aging reports daily, weekly and monthly
Actively communicate and follow up with external clients, internal presidents and/ or sales management regarding station problems, collection issues encountered, etc.
Analyze and coordinate with all clients/customers to acquire all information required and resolve issues effectively with help from management when needed
Contact clients/customers daily to inquire about payment status for current open and past due invoices
Assist with various account receivable projects and reporting upon request by management
Research and resolve internal billing and payment application issues
Assist with month end reporting
Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external business partners
Must be detail-oriented, proactive and able to balance multiple responsibilities and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Must be team oriented, enjoy a "hands on" environment and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong analysis, problem solving, and research skills; can gather, assess and interpret information and comprehend financial impacts of business decisions
Good judgment & decision-making skills
Effective communications with multiple levels of employees and clients
Excellent oral and written communication skills; can prepare and present complex data in a simple, understandable manner
Stress tolerance & flexibility especially when working under pressure and on multiple projects with tight deadlines; ability to deal with ambiguity
Ability to plan and organize, get things done in a team–oriented environment
Excellent attention to detail and optimal work standards
Demonstrated technical skills in accounting and financial information systems/applications
Proficient in Excel
- Minimum 2-3 years of related experience, in an accounting/financial analysis role; Media experience a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with an accounting or finance emphasis
