Job Summary:
The Financial Analyst partners with the National/Markets Sales team to provide financial, analytical and strategic support that will help shape how new and existing business grow. Responsibilities will include participating in forecasting, budgeting, expenses, pipeline and reporting for National Sales. This would put you in close proximity with key decision-makers including C-suite executives, giving you substantial exposure to the inner workings of a Fortune 500 company.
Responsibilities:
Directly support the Director and Sr. Finance Director of NSMP and Markets
Partner with sales team to drive the creation and execution of annual business plans, managing expenses, reporting revenue trends, defining and improving sales processes as well as designing and measuring KPIs that enhance sales productivity
Assist in preparation of all weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting materials for executive leadership
Participate in annual planning process and monthly/quarterly forecasting of National Sales
Assist with forecasting, budgeting and pipeline, support business partner as needed, liaise with accounting, and provide reporting
Monitor, analyze and report on spending, including in-depth analysis of budget/forecast variances
Communicate with departments to understand, research, and report on financial issues or strategic recommendations
Respond to internal and external ad-hoc requests, including audit and compliance requirements
Perform analysis/deep dives on profitability, revenue trends and other periodic ad-hoc analytical projects based on evolving business needs
Maintain process improvements in between planning cycles that identify and track key operating metrics that can be leveraged to develop planning tools
Interface with business leads, finance leads, accounting partners and IT to ensure accurate data and information gathering
Qualifications:
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; advanced skills in Excel with a focus on speed and efficiency
Experience with accounting software, Salesforce.com, Thinkcell, Tableau, BQ and SQL, or ability to learn new systems quickly
Self-starter, can work independently under minimal supervision
Highly detail oriented, with strong attention to accuracy
Excellent planning and organization skills; can multitask and prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Deep intellectual curiosity; excitement and eagerness for diving into complex challenges and opportunities
Excellent oral and written communication skills
1-3 years of analytical experience in financial planning, operations or other finance-heavy division
Education
- Minimum of 4-year college degree in Accounting or Finance
