What We Need:

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Attorney to join our team.

What You'll Do:

*Candidate can work anywhere in the U.S. but preferably it would be ideal to be in or near a major city due to some travel.

  • Provide advice and counsel to human resources, business clients and executives on a variety of employment and traditional labor matters, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour laws, family and medical leave laws, restrictive covenants, and employee privacy, including as it relates to union workforce.

  • Interpret collective bargaining agreements, respond to union inquiries, grievances, and disputes.

  • Manage and support outside counsel in employment litigation and collective bargaining.

  • Advise business leaders and HR related to employee separations and oversee drafting of separation agreements.

  • Interpret and advise business leaders related to appropriate handling of employee matters under collective bargaining agreements.

  • Assist with in-house development of processes and policies to handle current and potential labor and employment law issues.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of labor and employment law experience in top law firm and/or working as an in-house lawyer is required.

  • Labor negotiations experience and some travel required.

  • Possess and demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, facilitation, oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision, independently and/or as a member of a project team.

  • Ability to multitask and to prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detail orientation – with strong attention to accuracy and problem solving. “Following-up until resolved” skills a must.

  • Bachelor’s degree from a top quality, nationally recognized college or university.

  • Juris Doctorate degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association.

  • Licensed member of a state bar in good standing.

  • Previous experience managing mid-large sized projects of moderate complexity

  • Analytical thinking and judgement to build creative solutions to complex problems

  • Comfortable interacting with individuals of all levels and ability to maintain professional relationships

  • Strong communication skills that include being able to negotiate and encourage a broader point of view


Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data.

$144,000 - $198,000
